Serif has announced the release of Affinity 1.10, including Photo, Designer and Publisher. This release doesn’t include many new features but focuses instead on substantially improving performance by re-engineering the architecture of the apps on all operating systems. Great software. I just wish they would have a box select like in Gimp, with a transform cage and handlers. Adjusting a selection rectangle afterwards is quite challenging.
Yeah they are realy good..
But still Adobe Rules the game.. we tried to implement it in a 500 People architectural Company, and of course there are allways those people who cant ever never live without this ore those functionality.
but the real Problem is cooperation. When you deal with subs like for example the green Planers , they usualy only took our files, opend them and put in their stuff.. gave it back..
This workflow of course is broken untill they also use affinity..
And.. the linked and embeded CAD files that you printed as pdfs. get handled much better in Photoshop, because they get rasterised but still are linked to the original files..
This makes architectural retuching much easier in photoshop..
aside from this, i never ever would go back to photoshop and privatly use it untill the competition gets eaten by serif..
so.. thumbs up serif..
Been waiting a long time for the Text Warp Feature in affinity designer, it’s on their list of promised feature but never makes it. Such an essential feature too… Well for me at least.
Text wrap has been in the program for a while.

ahhh i see yeah i think i saw a video of them showing off a prototype of it so its coming.
got the entire set. very happy with publisher and designer.
yet color matching is still very weak in affinity photo :\ .
