thats a great step. I tested Publisher the beta from the beginning. And now with the Photo and Designer Persona, this app has a real great workflow, combining all three affinity programs in one.

My company was thinking to switch to affinity totaly and we still do. The only reason we didnt (a 500 employees architectural Company) was the heavy amount of old indesign documents we have to use on a dayly base.

So two things for us are missing..
1. idlm import
2. Import pdfs for architecural plans the way that you have the option to rasterise them but still stay connected to the originals pdf plot..

everything else is totaly on top levels. Nothing an architect could ever miss..

great products. WITHOUT THIS HORIBLE SUBSCRIPTION HORROR Installation process.

you should contact them and tell them this. i guess it would have some weight for them regarding development directions.

villian of course you are right.. and i allready did. and glad some of my wishes, for example additive select pixelmasks in the layer tab, found its way to the release of photo for example…

i think they dont focus to much on archhitectural workflows. never the less, at some point maybe it will come.. esp. the idlm import is on their list as far as i know.

Serif and the Affinity series is a godsent! Coming from Adobe, you may stumble in to a few things you might miss, but that is just because it is different. There are few things that Adobe does better, but a ton of things that Affinity does better than Adobe. It is not dinosaur tech and workflow, and it is not half-arsed integrations of 3rd party tools that they bought up. It is fast, light, reliable and professional! And all the tools have true support for 16 & 32bit depth. As well as an endless list of Adobe annoyances that simply are not there. All that, and the Price!
