Portugal-based Amplify Creations announced the public preview version of their software that allows real-time applications to present scenes without texture limitations imposed by GPU memory limits. Amplify Texture works by slicing textures into smaller tiles and streaming them at runtime depending on the view from the
camera.
A preview version of v2 of the software is now available, which incorporates physically based shaders with Alloy, Skyshop and Lux support, anisotropic filtering, specular layer and multi-vt consolidation. The developers are looking for feedback. More information and video tutorials on Amplify Creations’ site.
