Ten24, known for their quality 3D scans, have released their 3D scanned anatomy reference application for artists that allows to rotate, light and shade models exactly the way you want them. Features include: custom lighting setups with a suite of lighting tools, sketch tools allow to view 3D perspective grids and silhouettes from any angle, ability to switch between textured and non-textured models, slice models to reveal the cross section at any particular point, color and grading tools, etc. More on Anatomy360’s website.
The developers of Anatomy 360 are working on a body scanning process that will allow them to create a fully poseable model with realistic deformations. This requires to capture 100s of scans of a single person in every possible position. From that, they will be able to build a poseable model with 100% accurate muscle deformation.
