Appleseed 2.0 beta released

A new beta version has been released of the open source renderer aimed at animation and VFX. Version 2.0 includes several significant improvements to the core including improved subsurface scattering, NPR shaders, and new visualisation tools. The plugins see updates too with interactive rendering and AOVs in the Blender addon, volumetric rendering and denoising in the 3DS Max plugin and support for AOVs in Maya. CPU and it’s open source and couple of years of development behind. They have done a lot of development and now it shapes to a nice render.
