3d-io has just released a new set of software updates, which include a new version of its skinning and mesh deformation plugin. New features in BonesPro include:

- Added support for dual quaternion skin blending – allows
for a faster rigging setup with preserved object volumes in all 3
transformation modes - Quaternion Skin painting tools
- Improved handling of MetaBone objects in Max 2015
- Minor UI performance improvements
- Settings of the selected bones can now be copied to other
bones by shift-clicking on them - Influence visualization now shows influences when more than
one bone are selected at the same time

Flatiron
- Fixed issue where editable poly objects were in some cases
unwrapped incorrectly and resulted in unusable uv maps. - Added support for user defined per-object property:
‘FlatironScale’. This can be used to make selected objects relatively
larger or smaller than the others on a shared UV map. - Improved licensing system to better detect error messages
from intermediate devices (firewall, router, etc.)
