Imagination Technologies, the company that acquired Caustic Graphics in December 2010, announced the upcoming release of Brazil 3.0, a new implementation of Brazil r/s rewritten from the ground up for interactive visualization. The new version of the renderer is built using OpenRL, Imagination’s ray tracing API designed to work on any graphics hardware. A beta of Brazil 3.0 running on Max, Maya and Rhino is being previewed at SIGGRAPH. More at Imagination Technologies.
