The latest version of Blackmagic Design’s editing and grading application brings 10x performance improvements, a new audio postproduction suite with Fairlight audio built into the software, collaboration tools that let multiple people edit, color and mix audio from multiple systems in the same project at the same time, new editing and grading features, and a price reduction of its Studio version from $995 to $299 (permanent licenses, no rental).
Version 14 includes over 20 new FX filters for removing dust, fixing dead pixels, warping images, etc. A new face enhancement tool automatically recognizes and tracks facial features so colorists can quickly smooth skin, adjust skin tone, brighten eyes, and even change lip color, all without having to manually select or rotoscope any part of the image. In addition, there are new stabilization, match move, and other image processing tools.
Editors get new slip and slide trim commands that make it easier to dynamically trim live on the fly during playback. They can now save interface layout presets, view multiple bins at once and open multiple bin windows. Also included are new marker overlays, audio only and video only edit tools, track colors, and subframe audio editing.
DaVinci Resolve 14 Studio does not require a connection to the internet or recurring rental payments to work. A public beta is available today as a free download from the Blackmagic Design website.

Hey guys at Black Magic, could you please buy 3D Studio MAX from AD??
Pretty please???
Looks great, tried out 12 as a replacement for Premiere, just gets better and better.
Agreed!
This seems way better than 12. I’m really impressed, I thought I had to give up on a good editing app solution, but this time they really did a tremendous job!
Still used AE 5.5 for basic grading and shorter sequence editing. Quickly tried with a few projects and am very impressed by this release (performance, features, pricing). Time to crawl out of comfort zone and start learning
Both great new features AND a massive price reduction! You have to love these guys!!
Wonderful tool.
Best all in one editing, grading sound editing software you can find by far.
The price drop is huge too.
