Chaoticdimension.com has opened its doors to the public. The site has information on plugins developed by Chaosgroup and Dimension Design (including Phoenix, SimCloth, shag:Hair and f-Edge), a profile and history of both companies and information on some new projects:
– VRay – A raytracing engine capable of computing quickly and accurately various light effects like (glossy) reflections/refractions, secondary illumination and depth-of-field.
– SimCloth 3 – A new dynamics engine for SimCloth. The third version will include various explicit and implicit integration schemes as well as fast and reliable collision detection/response.
– NPC – A networking module that allows tasks to be run simultaneously on many computers thus increasing performance of specially designed applications.
