I don’t understand how these are free.
In order to download the assets, one must register. The free account is “$15 — 3 cents per download — billed monthly”, and in fact requires a payment option.
When I tried to register, still not aware of this, my Paypal account went through automatically, and I can’t find a way to remove it, to delete my account, or to contact any customer support.
People, be aware…
Ok, I found the support contact at the very bottom of the page. Waiting on their response… I wasn’t expecting this much trouble.
Bro… why you not just try to enter direct in the free section link in the news above instead to navigate randomly in the main page?

Never said I was browsing randomly. Clicking on the link posted in the article above is exactly what I did.
The link you posted doesn’t make things better, it takes me to the same exact page. Did you try downloading the asset? If you do, you’ll see that after you click on the “free” asset, you’re taken to a page where you need to register, and that’s where the Paypal account got linked.
+1
Yes, very bad offer. But that’s marketing. The term “free” attracts users. This kind of marketing achieves the opposite though. Keep your hands away here.
Calling that “marketing” is a real stretch. It’s closer to fraud.
Anyone else having issues downloading the model;
in the lower parts of the tier selection page, when you select the BASIC option, there is an option auto selected to donate $15.
Unselecting this lets you download the model for free.
I totally agree this is a very convoluted way to let people download a “free” model.
Thanks. But i still need to sign up. Or did i miss something here?
AFAIK signing up is necessary ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Fair enough 🙂
