Iman Shirani has released SceneLinter Pro, an open beta scene validation script for Autodesk 3ds Max 2025 and later. The tool is designed to help artists detect and correct errors in their scenes before rendering.
SceneLinter Pro allows users to create customizable rule sets that function as a checklist to verify a scene. It can check render parameters, object properties, output paths, and other attributes accessible through MaxScript. The tool includes a smart property search to quickly locate settings by object selection or keyword.
In addition to validation, the script supports automated fixes through predefined MaxScript actions. Users can attach these fixes to rules, enabling issues to be resolved with a single click. Rule lists can be saved in JSON format, allowing them to be shared across teams.
SceneLinter Pro is available as an open beta for Autodesk 3ds Max 2025 and newer versions.
