Ftrack 4.5 adds real-time synchronised media review features
ftrack has announced that real-time synchronised media review features are now available in ftrack Review and ftrack Studio. This feature means that any action performed in a remote creative review session will display on all participants’ screens simultaneously. These actions can include things like jotting down feedback, sketching on an image, or jumping to a different video frame or PDF page.
Synchronised review sessions in ftrack Review and ftrack Studio are not based on streaming which is highly dependent on bandwidth, as such ftrack promises that they will remain responsive and accurate.
This new feature has been ported over from the review and approval tool cineSync, which ftrack acquired in last year. Synchronised media review is included for all ftrack Studio and ftrack Review workspaces for a maximum of two simultaneous participants. For more users, a Review Pro add-on if available which adds up to 10 participants, 500gb of storage and 2160p video resolution.
Other features in the new ftrack Review and Studio release include side-by-side media comparison, increased default resolution, and PNG support with transparency.
