According to a report by Bloomberg Adobe plans to bring Photoshop to the iPad in 2019 “as part of a new strategy to make its products compatible across multiple devices and boost subscription sales”. I am sure it will be great to use without Mouse and no real Keyboard on a small Display with 3 Gbyte RAM.

I don’t remember what it was called, but around 6-7 years ago I used to have some version of photoshop for android devices. Used it on my galaxy note 1 and I did not feel like I’m missing a keyboard or mouse. It was just playing around back then – but if you’re serious about using it then you can connect some keyboard via bluetooth and problem solved. I, for one, like the idea of crossplatform software and hope they won’t make it just for apple products

if you are serious using Photoshop, the Performance and RAM will not be enough at all. The Display will be way to tiny, the file System not good enough. It will work to edit some Holiday Pictures, but do you really need Photoshop for that ?

Wow best idea ever /s
iPad is not even that open to think this is a good idea, I mean, is this meant to edit snapchat selfies more than those snapchat filters already do? sounds like a waste of time.

Not my time or money, and I will always think this is stupid. But when there is software like Affinity that can do most Photoshop can, then they should focus on something else. Affinity Photo currently is $35 on Microsoft store many times around the year, and you don’t need to pay subscription and/or updates (for now).

I must admit that I don’t even use Affinity even if I got it, but it is because of personal reasons, I mean, photoshop plugins don’t work pretty much at all, and with all the promises they still don’t. When I complained about it on twitter, the “head of PR” pretty much told me I didn’t know crap and I could use Photoshop because “Affinity Photo is not Photoshop” only because I suggested Affinity Photo/Designer team should work close to developers like Substance to bring the bridge/integration to be able to use in professional software like that.
Yes, I said they apparently didn’t care, because with all the promises I never see so much progress on Affinity after it was released on Windows, never fixed the plugins not working or since 2015 Designer “join curve” doesn’t work as it should.
But most people are fine with Affinity, and they didn’t get a garbage “head of PR” talking crap at them. Both programs Photo and Designer are cheap. But I don’t want to deal with Serif/Affinity company and their crap.

But Adobe would rather focus on big iPhone OS to edit snapchat selfies instead of improving their desktop software that will be used forever by professionals? who would use a tablet to edit crap? or maybe finally Adobe understand that Apple will never bring touch and pen support to their beloved MacOS so this is the workaround when Windows have had the advantage for years?
But let’s be honest, Adobe never has fixed the Windows ink crappy implementation on Windows, they just don’t care apparently they want money.

This is just a ridiculous idea just like when they were showing and never released any version about their plans to bring Adobe to Windows tablets and make it so nice and perfect windows users felt finally Adobe was waking up from their Apple obvious preference as a company. But good luck Adobe!

Translation: Affinity is putting the squeeze on Adobe and they’re in damage control mode.
