if fumeFX in maya be powerful like max version , maybe many companies never using max in projects and doing all their works in maya
I wish Sitni would spend his time and effort on devloping the 3dsmax Version instead of ports to other packages. I just can see how the Innovation curve is going down, very sad….
Ya, that is possible. Nowadays, you can also make use of Thinkbox products inside Maya, so there are only few plugins left that have not been ported yet.
Keep in mind guys that the Maya community has been screaming for a FumeFX port since about 2006. There have been lots of Maya-based studios that brought in a Max artist just to handle FumeFX because it was so much faster and easier to use than Maya Fluids (to many). Luma was in that specific situation for quite some time and desperately needed a way to at least get Maya to read FumeFX sims for lighting and rendering so Max artists could focus primarily on the sims themselves. I suspect the heavy lifting on this port was done by Luma and Kreso et al have been very focused still on FumeFX as a whole.
