I’m amazed it took them 47+ minutes to render that scene and that quality in VRay, and make it look that horrible on that system. Lack of knowledge on how to use a renderer, is no comparison.
How can they compare furry GPU with vray CPU??? At the very least they should have compared to vray RT!
also (per their comparison board) they say octane doesn’t have realtime viewport, and does not support hair/fur (it does in geometry mode just like iray)

It turned out that Arnold is the worst renderer on the market.
What a joke!
Those guys simply discredit themselfs with this – and they surly deserve it, because I’ve not seen this kind of unprofessional attitude in a long long time…
In addition to the comments above, it’s impossible to make such comparisons without knowing each renderer, and the settings that were used.
I could make that MR render take three minutes, or five days, depending on the settings.
