My first instinct is to think ‘greedy’. I’m curious, did SAI train it’s AI on the preview images on it’s website – and it was this that triggered the lawsuit?
Getty is greedy from way back.
Both parties can see that AI is highly profitable. So this case will be settled out of court. Stability AI will pay a fine to obtain the relevant license and some of the artist might be compensated. Setting the precedent that AI is acceptable. In the future it will be impossible to identify sources and Getty knows this. What stopping somebody from creating a library of AI images that don’t reassemble existing images and then training the AI on that?
Anyone recommend stock / crypto tips to capitalise on AI when the next market boom takes place?
If someone recomends this here, trust me, the moment has passed.
wrong, we’re at the market bottom at the moment. We’re in accumulation phase actually.
oh Getty, just wait until the legal system is run by AI…
