IPi Soft has updated its markerless motion capture system with support for up to 16 Sony PS3 Eye cameras or up to 4 Kinect sensors recorded onto multiple PCs during the same motion capture session. It also adds the ability to track three actors simultaneously. The company has also increased the number of cameras supported in the Basic Edition of Motion Capture from 4 to 6, allowing accurate capture of more complex motions. In order to entice customers, IPi Soft is offering a number of discounts on its software, which is licensed through a rental-only system. More on IPi Soft’s website.

still SaaS only… no go at all, and I think they are noticing that people don’t like this kind of licensing, weird offer what they are doing ๐Ÿ˜›

Sorry, Brekel is a better deal, no weird SaaS money vampire draining deal for the user.

Cheers.

Plus, they don’t care at all about customers, customer that are not happy are simply ignored in their forums, old customers saying they are not happy at all, and they get ignored with something similar to “it is what it is, like it or not… don’t care”

They don’t say this phrase of course, but their attitude is that, the latests posts by their unhappy users remain unanswered since january, and their last post is from around december, justifying that the costs are lower now, while a lot of users stated that this is false and the costs practically doubled…

A fair company would give both options, rent and own, not just rent ๐Ÿ˜›

Try to rent a car for over a year and let’s see if you are cool with the costs, there are people that need some car renting of course, but people that use the car everyday own one… it’s a matter of logic or common sense ๐Ÿ˜›

Iยกm really mad with this crazy wave of licensing style, I hope they all fail and start being honest.

Corona is the perfect example for this, you have both options.

Cheers.
