Just to clarify, all we did was releasing the Krakatoa SR (Stand-alone Renderer) a few months ago.
These Cinema 4D connections are developed by 3rd parties (one commercial, one free) based on our C++ API. While we support their efforts, we are not programming for C4D ourselves like we did with Krakatoa for Maya.
We did tweet a beta image of Krakatoa MY running on Mac OSX the other day though, and Krakatoa SR will also run on OSX when we are done. So we are diversifying the platforms support indeed 🙂
Just wait until Siggraph for some delicious news on the Max side of things!
Thanks for the note, Bobo. News item clarified (read “corrected”). Looking forward to what Thinkbox is cooking up for SIGGRAPH.
