According to a post by Phillip Miller at the Discreet Webboard, there will be no changes in the price of 3ds max, and Discreet will not (at least for the time being) react to what has been called “a desperate competitive measure” with a price reduction. Softimage has not announced price cuts either, nor has Side Effects Software. The cards are on the table – at least a few of them.
