Next Limit has announced the release of v4.1 of Maxwell Render, which incorporates a denoising techonology (by Innobright’s Altus) that, according to the Madrid-based company, allows to render images around two to six times faster, depending on the scene, for a similar amount of detail. Other new features include:
- Optimized GPU-handling memory – paving the way to multi-GPU in a future update
- Multilight Standalone v2 – the tool for light management now allows the possibility of creating light animations and offers tone mapping and camera response features so you can fine tune the look of your images
- New Lights panel in Maxwell | Studio to play with light intensity
- New illumination assets in the Library Panel
- New material compatibility: MERL, X-rite AxF, Real-IES files
