New Unity demo Enemies demonstrates the engines potential for high-end visuals

Unity has released Enemies, the latest impressive project by the company’s demo team. It showcases Unity’s potential for producing high-end visuals, including the latest improvements to its High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP), new high-end Adaptive Probe Volume lighting system, an all-new strand-based Hair solution, and an evolved Digital Human toolkit. HDRP still needs a long way to go, but yes it is.

It is nice but appears that the most realism came from the actress face.

I thought she was real until the very end where we get really close and see the lips animation. Turns out everything is fully CG, including the actress, her dress and hair.

The mechanical parts could be more realistic, maybe the weightless animation of the huge gears or the separate motion of foreground and the background seems off. But overall, very impressive stuff!

I agree the setting could be more detailed and grainy in feel.
