In the default MAX sound controller, when rendering an animation to an AVI or MOV, if the animation duration is too long, the audio portion is lost.
Specifically, this limitation is dependent on the sampling rate of the .WAV file and is tabulated below:
Sampling Rate – Duration Limit
11 kHz ==== 194.8 seconds
22 kHz ==== 97.4 seconds
44 kHz ==== 48.7 seconds
