Ornatrix has updated its educational license policy for its hair, fur, and grooming software. Beginning September 12, 2025, the software is now available free of charge to qualified educational institutions and students worldwide.
Schools can apply for lab licenses by creating an account with their institution’s email domain and submitting a request from an official school email address. All licenses for labs will be issued and managed through the institution’s account. Students can obtain individual licenses through their schools by providing their account information to an administrator, who will assign the license.
Licenses are valid for one year and can be renewed annually by following the same application process. They are restricted to non-commercial, educational use. Current holders of active educational licenses are eligible for a 50% discount when upgrading to a commercial license.
The new policy replaces Ornatrix’s previous 50% discount program for education. Existing educational license holders who purchased the software under that earlier discount may continue using their licenses for commercial purposes.
