UK-based The Pixel Farm announced PFDepth, a new software for spatial scene reconstruction, depth creation and stereoscopic conversion.
The software performs 2D to 3D stereoscopic conversion by assigning accurate depth cues relative to the camera’s position over time, with dynamic adjustments to the perceived dimensionality of the scene animated automatically. According to the press release, PFDepth allows for entire sequences to be created in minutes, as opposed to hours or days.
The Pixel Farm will publicly debut PFDepth at NAB 2012. Read the whole PR at The Pixel Farm.
