Plasticity 1.4 released
Plasticity 1.4 has been released, bringing more features to the user friendly CAD tool that aims to streamline the design process by integrating the power of NURBS modeling with the workflow efficiencies found in polygonal modeling software, thus moving away from traditional, manufacturing-oriented CAD workflows.
The update brings several key improvements. Notably, it enhances CAD-like usability, making it more intuitive for users. Significant additions include the Measure and Dimension commands, which facilitate the measurement of object dimensions and enable dimensional adjustments, like altering the size of a rectangle around a curve or the diameter of a cylinder. These commands update dimension values in real-time when objects undergo transformations.
Another major inclusion is the Tangent Circle and Tangent Arc commands, designed to create circles and circular arcs tangent to curves, respectively. These new commands expand the tool’s capabilities in creating more complex and precise geometric shapes.
Existing commands have also seen enhancements in this version. Dimension values are now displayed during the execution of several commands, including TwoPointCircle, ThreePointCircle, Box, Cylinder, and Sphere. Additionally, Plasticity 1.4 supports 3Dconnexion’s SpaceMouse on Windows and macOS platforms, though Linux support is not available yet.
The update introduces other improvements like the new Offset Vertex command, which adds vertices along a curve. The Outliner feature has been refined to display empty group folders in grey and highlight folders containing selected objects. A toggle button for the outliner display has been added for improved user interface management. The 3D Viewport now offers enhanced navigation controls.
Furthermore, Plasticity 1.4 supports FBX file import and, for Windows and Linux users with a Studio License, DXF and DWG file import. The update also separates the Save As and Export commands into individual commands for more streamlined file management.

Hats off, by far the best solid modeling tool.
is it really ? i dont know a thing about it.
I really like this software. Creating game assets and moving seamlessly to Blender is awesome.
