“3D STUDIO MAX USERS BREATHE A COLLECTIVE SIGH OF RELIEF
On February 19th, Electric Rain announced the upcoming release of a 3D Studio Max Plug-in that will allow Max users to export directly to the SWF file format. This new tool should facilitate a much more streamlined approach to publishing 3D content from Max to Flash. I mean, let’s face it, exporting from Max to 3DS and then using the Swift 3D standalone to convert the file is a bit cumbersome.
With the Swift 3D Max Plug-in, all of your object morphs, particle systems, complex lighting and camera views can be directly converted to vectors as SWF, AI or EPS. Not to mention a rebuilt RAViX rendering engine that’s way fast and produces even smaller file sizes than before due to curve exporting.
