New features in IntegrityWare’s Power Surfacing plugin that brings subdivision surface modeling to SolidWorks include: support for a broader range of workflows (especially when working with SolidWorks assemblies), improved performance for converting into NURBS surfaces / solids, etc. Read on for a detailed list:
IntegrityWare has also released v4.1 of its Power Surfacing reverse engineering plugin (RE) for SolidWorks, which provides a set of tools to rebuild shapes from a large variety of polygonal meshes. The latest version brings Shrink Wrap options, Quad Wrap tool (allows to automatically wrap a SubD / Power Surfacing mesh around a scanned mesh to retopologize it), Smart Fill, Edit Reference mesh new tools, significant improvement in shrink wrap performance and accelerated face painting. Power Surfacing currently sells for $1495, Power Surfacing RE for $2495. Customers can purchase maintenance plans for $395 per year in order to receive ongoing support, free patch releases and upgrades to major version releases.
