Discreet will be showing the new release at this year’s SIGGRAPH and according to reliable sources, Max 5 will focus on control over “creation, animation and management of animated characters”. The new release also reportedly includes a Spline IK, a Dope Sheet editor, a new character-based animation management system and of course an updated renderer. Character Studio 4 would also be presented at SIGGRAPH 2002.
