Trimble’s 3D modelling and documentation tools Sketchup Pro and Make 2014 have been released with a number of new features:
- Redesigned from the ground-up with an integrate WebGL viewer for previewing models
- Upload models to the warehouse directly from a web browser
- Increased individual model upload size limit to 50mb
- Added product catalogues to use models for products from specific suppliers
- Use classifier tools to tag geometry with industry standard object types for BIM integration
- Export IFC files
- API brought up to Ruby 2.0 standards
- New arc tools. Draw arcs using one of three techniques
- Shadow casting when using complex models sees performance improvements of up to 15x
- Use tags to automatically generate text such as page numbers, dates, and project titles or create custom tags from scratch.
- Automatically generate pre-populated labels
- Improved vector rendering performance
- Improved performance for very long documents
