The announcement was made during the keynote at the Blender Conference in Amsterdam. Alongside this transition, new board positions will be established, with Sergey Sharybin serving as head of development, Dalai Felinto as head of product, and Fiona Cohen as head of operations. Roosendaal will move to the newly formed Blender Foundation supervisory board.

Siddi has been part of Blender since 2012, holding multiple roles including animator, web developer, pipeline developer, producer, and manager of industry relations. The foundation stated that preparations for this transition have been underway since 2019.

More details about the leadership change are expected later this year. For further information, visit blender.org
