UDK’s monthly updates often add incremental improvements, this month however sees a major upgrade. The June beta adds a number of new features: a foliage editor to paint instanced vegetation and decoration; drag-and-drop templates to simplify configuring lighting set-ups for day, night, morning or sunset; a new debugger for Kismet; Simplygon to automatically generate LOD models for static meshes; decal support in Unreal Landscape; and a host of performance optimisations.
