Gemany-based Vizoo announced the release of Xtex, a scanner and software combination for capturing materials and creating physically-based maps. Vizoo is selling the hardware separately from the software, with the later being offered through a rental plan (which poses an obvious question: what use is the hardware if the software stops being rented?).
