New features in the latest version of E-on’s landscape creation and animation software include: EcoSystem 4 (offers reduced flickering, optimized rendering and memory management), interactive adjusting to the lighting of a scene after the render completes, HDR multi-pass rendering, improved Terrain Editor, ability to define custom interfaces with simplified high-level controls, interactive network rendering, cloud radiosity, support for Catmull-Clark subdivision, etc. Also of note, E-on has posted a page with information on Carbon Scatter, the set of plugins that integrate EcoSystem algorithms directly into 3D applications (scheduled for release later this year), and has announced LumenRT, a software designed for visualizing architectural and other projects in real-time (yes, the idea sounds familiar). Vue 9 is scheduled for release Q4 2010. More at E-on Software.
