Luxology have announced the release of Modo 401. New features include: better retopology and beveling tools, replica modeling to add polygon detail to scenes with minimal impact on scene size, faster interactive preview render, new animation tools, lighting enhancements, improved materials, updated data import/export options, and over 1500 customizable presets that include profile curves, realistic surface finishes, fur presets, 3D props, vegetation, animated rigs and professionally designed lighting environments. Fusion 6 release candidate

Eyeon have announced that Fusion 6 release candidate is available to current subscription customers of their node-based compositing software. New features in Fusion 6 include Region of Interest/Domain of Definition, expanded GPU support, enhancements in camera projection, expansion of the basic materials into a comprehensive and advanced lighting and material shader system, and general algorithm optimizations. Fusion 6 is compatible with all existing third party plugins, no updates should be required. Watch some videos, find out more information and read the complete list of new features.
