Free Multiple Sections 3ds Max plugin introduced for creating 2D cross-sections
Miled Rizk has released a new plugin called Multiple Sections, designed to create multiple 2D cross-sections of 3D objects along the X, Y, or Z axis. The tool provides users with control over section spacing, section count, and vertex welding, along with options to flip the direction of section creation and apply offsets.
The plugin includes two automation modes. Auto Count allows the user to specify spacing, with the script calculating the number of sections required. Auto Spacing allows the user to specify the number of sections, with the script determining spacing automatically. Offset settings let users adjust where section creation begins along an axis.
Created sections are grouped under “MultiSections” for easier selection and management, and can be deleted in a single action. The tool supports optional vertex welding, which helps when using extrude modifiers, though welding on complex geometry may be computationally intensive. A progress bar and escape function are included to manage long operations.

Unfortunately, the company seems to be in a deep slumber. The whole story of 3ds Max is as if we are 20 years behind, with the world of artificial intelligence. We are still struggling with the most trivial minor issues. For 10 years, this company has been bogged down in the dynamic cloth animation update section, which is now completely obsolete in all dimensions—literally in a deep slumber. This software is no longer useful in animation, engineering, or model making; it is severely outdated. The officials of this company have never cared, and third-party plugins no longer help either.
