Matt Clark has announced that Wrapit is now available for free to all users. First introduced in 2009 Wrapit is a respected retopology tool for 3ds Max. Over the years though, Max has gained several updates, including features such as polydraw, auto retopology tools, and the recent conform modifier, that make the plugin less essential.Nonetheless Wrapit maintains a number of active users and continues to be a valuable addition to 3ds Max artist's toolkits. Raw Textures has launched a new texture repository that provides scans with areas up to 40 meters in length and resolutions reaching 128k. Support for UDIMs plus the high resolutions use allows for more than three pixels per millimeter, providing enough detail for both close-up and wide-angle renders using the same texture set.
