SplineTools is a new 3DS Max plugin that delivers a collection of 6 spline-related tools and enhancements. Capabilities include:
- Freehand Spline: a new Spline type that allows to draw
splines in the viewport “freehand” with knots automatically added. - NormalizeSpline2: An enhancement to the standard Normalize
Spline, this tool provides a number of advanced options, including the
ability to specify knot count as well as optionally retain nearby knots
within a certain tolerance. This tool also adjusts soft selection
values. - PathDeform2: an extensive update to PathDeform. Most
notably, this modifier operates in Object-Space such that the modified
object conforms the selected spline path. Options include the ability
to animate the twist along the path of the spline as well having the
deformed object adopt the Material ID of the underlying spline. - ReSpline: a high quality knot reduction tool that will
optimally reduce the number of knots and adjust their handles. - Spline Influence: this tool permits the soft selection of
spline knots based on proximity to other objects in the scene. For
added functionality, Boomer Labs has also released a freeware plugin
“Influence Helper” that provides enhanced knot selection capability. - Spline Relax: a relax function for splines that smooths out
spline knots and/or their associated handles.
SplineTools is now available to all 3DS max users with 64 bit versions
of Max 2010+. List price is $95 per seat with no charge for render
nodes. Special introductory pricing of $80 is available until 1/1/2015.
A demo version and additional information can be found on Boomer Labs.
Weve been using this toolset while in development here at work for the last several months and its fantastic. if you have ever struggled with pathdeform,PathDeform2 is worth the price of the whole tool set. It just works!

Mark,
My apologies, it appears that the 2013/14 build was corrupted. The problem should now be resolved.
