Digimation announced today that it has begun shipping SpeedTree 2.0 for 3ds max 4.x/5.x (a version will be available for Max 6 when it ships), and SpeedTree VIZ 2.0 for Autodesk VIZ 4. SpeedTree 2.0 includes support for palm trees, trees with even smaller polygon counts and a completely re-written foresting tool. SpeedTree 2.0 is now available for $295 until August 31 after which it will have an SRP of $395. Upgrades from SpeedTreeMAX are $100.
