Ephere have released their Lab plugin for 3DS Max. Lab is a node-based plugin authoring toolkit that allows you to visually build and publish plugins from within the 3DS Max interface. It is integrated into Max’s architecture and can be used to visually create in-place or reusable controllers, modifiers, objects, particle forces, textures and many other entities.
There is an introductory 25% discount valid until September 15th, available using the discount code “LAB_INTRO” on their site (Ephere.com).
See Ephere’s Lab page, quick introduction video and YouTube channel for more information and video tutorials.

This is great, recommend everyone to try it out!
This actually looks very interesting. Specially for me trata is not a programmer.
This tool is very good, and extremely easy to work with.
I’ve been lucky to be part of the beta, and I really do enjoy using this tool. Much easier and faster then to use the SDK directly.
Yeah, this is brilliant! Check the vids listed on the documentation page to see some great examples!
Thank you ephere for yet another fantastic plugin, I hope that this gets the attention that it deserves, specially from the code’o’phobic people such as myself.
Btw, “Send your Lab plug-ins to anyone, even if they don’t own Lab”, this is really interesting.
This has to be one of the most interesting developments for 3ds Max I’ve seen for quite some time. I really hope I can find time to play with this!
Nodes, and C# as well? The difference here, not being bound only to MAXScript (which I’ve used, but don’t feel personally attached to), seems huge…
This is amazing, their tools have always complemented Max perfectly (many people don’t know this but the State Sets feature they added in 2013 was an Ephere product), just imagine if we had tools like Ornatrix and Zoo Keeper and Lab integrated in Max by default, well at least thanks to these guys we have access to these tools and I’m grateful for that.
ephere made a new masterpiece!
MAX should implement this technology by default!!
