Free pipeline tool Prism released
Richard Frangenberg has released a Prism, a new free pipeline management tool for animation and VFX that’s compatible with Houdini, Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, and Nuke. In addition it can work with other popular tools including RV, DJV, and VLC for media playback; Deadline and Pandora for submitting to the farm; and Shotgun for project tracking.
Prism allows users to manage scene files including the creation and versioning of assets sequences and shots. Data can be exchanged with other scenes, even between applications. This is handled automatically by automatically dealing with scene units and scales via common file formats like Alembic, FBX, OBJ, BGEO and others. In Max, Maya and Blender merging and referencing are supported.
Playblast can be created and saved to the project folder and the rendering workflow can be automated. There are no restrictions on the renderer used except in Houdini where Mantra and Redshift are supported.
Media files can be viewed using one of several supported media players and conversions can be made between different file types.
Many more features are included. Prism is completely free, but if you find it useful you should consider donating to support future development. Take a look at the full list of features, watch tutorials and read the documentation on the Prism Pipeline website.

This sounds very useful! Will give it a go.
Danke sehr!!!
unable to uninstall it :S
To uninstall Prism you have to execute the installer again. After the files are extracted you have the option to uninstall any previous version of Prism.
It would be nice to be able to edit the templates, as it’s not clear why you would have an assets folder inside of the workflow and another one in the root. Being able to customize these things would be amazing, and also an easier way to switch between projects, so there’s no main project, just the one you choose in that moment.
Still a nice tool, thanks for sharing it!
ps. I know you can change the folders, but you have to do it every time. Also adding more folder types like “Assets” with it’s own subfolders would be nice.
