Unfortunately other than the Unreal bridge functionality… I havent felt the requirement to update modo from 10.2. I started on modo 202 and it seemed every major release was almost a required update but after 10… not so much. I think we might not see modo 15. This release is remarkable thread bare, however I am more of low poly games modeller than the shoe designers that the foundry seem to think we all are now.

Its worse the upgrade ui and everything is much better. Upcoming ACS3 Character rigging system gives you all you need. For Unity it fits for me.

Its kind of sad to see Modo go this way… Release by release Modo gets more pathetic. I loved Modo some time ago. It suppose to be hardcore modeling package and LW killer. It looks like LW and Modo will accompany each other in the software grave. Someone in the Foundry marketing should get fired – that piggy plug is terrible artwork to represent this kind of software …

I know this release isn’t super excited but Foundry is reworking the code from Modo to improve performance and this takes time. The same happened with Max, Maya, Softimage, etc.

There’s a cool live on PixelFoundie with the developers and I have a feeling that by Modo 15 Modo will be a better software. We have to wait and see.

I think they got a Gillette ad marketing department to work on this.
