A new layer manager script is being developed by Italian artist Matteo Simion. NodeBox has been inspired by Blur Studio’s Onion layer manager. According to the author, the goal is to have a fast layer manager oriented towards modeling rather than hierarchy/material management or “crazy scene management”, like “group of group of layers”, that only adds unnecessary complexity. Since NodeBox is all about the dynamic user interface, MAXScript wasn’t enough, so Matteo used a custom .dll that he wrote in C#, with all the UI pieces inside. The rest is still MAXScript.
According to the author, NodeBox is still “a private thing”, and there is no particular plan in place regarding releasing it to the public. So if you like NodeBox’s idea feel free to post messages requesting a public release.
looks like great tool and UI but i guess it will be pain in the ass if you have 1000 objects in the list, i would prefer it with classic treelistview instead of having too much space Between the names
so yeah if you gonna update it with the classic treelistview please do a public release of it.
