Anyone know what the use of OctaneRender would be useful for in Unreal Engine 4? Marketing material like cinematics so you don’t have to export it all to a(nother) 3D package?
Hey Tobbe, I’m guessing it’s an option to use Octane for in-game lighting/shading. The way Marmoset is used in Unity.
Hey Nick 🙂
Marmoset is a realtime renderer though (although why they have Marmoset in Unity I don’t fully understand either but I am sure there’s a good reason)? Octane is meant for offline rendering, not >30fps realtime rendering. I can see the marketing material angle but I wonder if someone knows what else it would be useful for or if that’s it?
Octane on AE !!!!!
can’t believe it :))
I don’t understand to what it’s applied.
Element3d? Cineware? Where does come the geometry from?
