Autodesk Labs’ Project Sci-Viz, developed by Scott Sheppard, provides a Python engine and API for Max that allows you to run scientific visualization tools such as the Embedded Python Molecular Viewer and AutoPack from within Max. The Sci-Viz plugin is available for 3DS Max 2013 64-bit and requires a 64-bit version of Python 2.6.6. More on Autodesk Labs.
