Jonathan de Blok has released a handy new commercial script that creates in-viewport handles to manipulate animation trajectories. Features include:
- Directly edit trajectories in the viewport including handles.
- Easily translate or rotate (part of) a trajectory.
- Alter time distribution without changing the trajectory itself.
- Compatible with complex animated hierarchies such as rigs.
- Supports both the default Position_XYZ controllers as well as those placed in Position_Lists
- Optionally displays velocity using a color gradient on the trajectory
- Optionally use object’s wire color as trajectory
- Optionally only create handles for selected keys.
- PTH is bidirectionally synced with the trackview, changes made in one are reflected in the other

Nice, another feature missing since years solved by a brave scriper! What are the chances for support of older max versions, Jonathan?
This has been on my wish list since max 1.0 Nice work!
What a great way to start the weekend! Thanks Jonathan!
Thx!
@RS: It might work in earlier versions but Max 2013 is the oldest one I’ve got installed. Give it a try with the demo version and let me know 🙂
wow, the features on this are great! Love the options, but will it work in 2015 since things need to be recompiled?
Fantastic, amazing that it has take so long for something that should have been in MAX from the start.
This is fantastic! LONG awaited feature, thanks for making it happen.

@rs I got it working in as old as 2009 (albeit is not very smooth), it would not work in max8 or max9, mostly because of user directory compliance issues.
So far it works wonderfully in max2011 🙂
It looks like a very good tool indeed…if Jonathan manages to make it work with CAT, that would be tha bomb!

Works with biped ??
This one was Great !
Thank you very much 😉
