New features in Shoran Software’s render management system include:
- Net Job Details Tab – contains six different panes that
contain all kinds of information about a net job: information pane
(general information), chunk list (a much faster version of the “old”
net job chunk list), events and output logs (makes it easier to access the
logs of each chunk), previews (contains a number of small previews of
the rendered images of a net job), statistics (shows some useful
overall statistics of a net job) - View filters have received a major overhaul – multiple view
filters can be active at the same time, which makes working with view
filters easier and more efficient - Net jobs can now react to ongoing errors by either pausing
or cancelling the job, so that a faulty net job will no longer clog
your render farm - Colorized net job priorities – allows to quickly determine
which jobs have a high or low priority - In previous versions, clients always dropped their current
jobs when they became disconnected. In this version, this behavior has
changed: If a connection drops unexpectedly, the clients will continue
to render their jobs, and once the connection has been re-established,
they will report their current status (including any finished jobs)
back to the server. This can save a lot of rendering time. - Clients report their average CPU usage after a rendering
- Renderers
now have the ability to report rendered images
