Allan McKay has published a detailed discussion of the VFX for Season 8 Episode 5 of Game of Thrones. In the video he analyses many of the standout VFX sequences deconstructs them from the perspective of a VFX Supervisor. Allan was not directly involved in the episode, rather he looks at how he "might approach these shots in a VFX production, from a supervisor's perspective". Watch it on YouTube.

Industry News
Adobe has announced significant changes to its policies regarding access to previous versions of Creative Cloud tools. Since Creative Cloud launched in 2012 it has been possible to use any version of the products, and as features occasionally got removed, some users chose to hang on to the earlier versions. According to the announcement, only the last two major releases will now be available for direct download, and in Acrobat's case, only the most recent version. (more...)
