Substance 3D, the realtime organic and fractal art generator with photorealistic augmented reality, is now offered to the public and freely available for download from DeusExSilicium’s website (formerly Neurosystems).
Also of note, Emulsion, the company’s photorealistic rendering studio that offers Keyshot-like features is also available for free. Emulsion provides realtime and non-realtime physically-based algorithms that can transform 3D models into photorealistic images. But unlike Keyshot, it can use CPU, or GPU, or both.
Neurosystems has become an inactive corporation 2 years ago, and the developer behind the software, Stéphane Marty, has chosen to offering the tools to the public for free, rather than let them drop into oblivion.
