Its actually great to know another subscription drop is coming. TP has been putting out a lot of great updates since the subscription. I wonder what will be in this subscription.

TP is a non sense with it’s current subs model, a big NO of course and I hope they fail with this model and have to go back or use a a mixed model (SaaS and Own), that could be good, having just renting, is bad, also they could choose the subs model used by allegorithmicit’s a subs with own, best renting model of all.

So, don’t care about this, but I care enough to say this in every TP and Cebas related news, so more and more people realize how bad is this for them.

Cheers!

Dont talk for every one. This model is bad for you and you prefer an own system? Ok, I respect that and I can understand it. But I think its good for a lot other people. You are a freelance and need tp only 3 month a year for specific projects? This way is much more afordable.

I prefer this model. It ends up being cheaper and I don’t have to wait 2 years to get caught up with other plugins or clear bugs. I think I’m a person that constantly upgrades and prefers the newest version of the tools I use. So it’s a no brainier for me. I think it’s a win for Cebas.

I agree with Stark & eLoi. This works for me and before this I wouldn’t have spent all that money on tp.

Yes… Specially when you have to pay for a full year in advance… Really greate… Plus in other plugins without this model you don’t have to wait two years for bug fixes or new features, also I could respect the company if they offered this model as an option, but it is mandatory… And again, can you rent this just for a month today? No, and even if that were the case, in three/four years you will end paying a lot more than with the previous model, this model is just right for the company, not for the users, even when there are users like you that like the model, make your numbers… And are you sure that you will need TP just 3 months a year? And how are you going to learn it without any license in your spare time? Because TP is not an easy plugin, you need time to learn it, this is bad for many many reasons, And it’s not bad as an option, it becomes bad when it’s the ONLY choice available, being the only choice it’s forcing a lot of people to enter in a renting game that they don’t want to…

IMHO is bad, you like it? Great, in four years we can talk about money and about how much of TP you have without paying…

Cheers.

You can rent TP for a month if you really want. They’ve always been able to do that even before this subscription model.

Plus you have a free version to learn it if you want. You can not export geometry or render, but for learning purpouses is perfect.
