The credit card company announced it is entering the epayments market and will soon be offering a number of services for online transactions, including the ability to buy items online using an email address and password, instead of entering the complete credit card info online. Visa expects to launch its digital wallet in the U.S. and Canada in Q4 2011, with more countries to join in 2012. More at Visa.com. Also of note, Visa announced a deal with Popmoney that allows for sending funds internationally to Visa cards from Popmoney-enabled accounts. More collaboration between the two companies is expected.
